BaneBot Transmition problems.

hey tems,

So the banebot transmitons have had problem reports in regards to considerable end play in the gear box output shaft. Apperantly FIRST will provide a fix it kit, put it has to be ordered, there is however an option to not ship the motors and gearboxes while awaiting the fix kits, but this would mean last minute instalation at the competition. Suposidly there are posts on the FIRST website and chiefdelphi, however i cant find them. the information i have is from a mentor who was talking to a member of the Kincardine Kinetic Knights. If anyone could help me out that would be great.

Re: BaneBot Transmition problems.

So the fix is for hardened carrier plates. This doesn't fix "end play" but will minimize backlash. End play is back and forth looseness axially while back lash is looseness that you would see in the direction of rotation. Information can be found in Team Update #10.

Take care of this before Feb. 16!
