**FIRST EMAIL**/Important Event "Don't Forgets!"

Greetings Teams:

We want to provide you with this important set of reminders:

BRING the following to your regional event:
  • CONSENT AND RELEASE FORMS - every team member must have a fully COMPLETE and signed Consent and Release form turned in to Pit Administration at their first regional event. If you are attending additional regional events, you do not need to turn in forms at those events.
*Important* Each form must: include Team Number, be Completely Filled In and Signed. Please write legibly. Any team member under the age of 18 MUST HAVE a parental signature(s).
  • SAFETY GLASSES- Don't forget to bring ANSI-approved, non-shaded safety glasses with approved side shields for each member of your team and all guests (e.g.,families, teachers, and friends)
  • SHIPPING AIRBILL- Don't forget to bring your FedEx Shipping Airbills to ship your robot home or to the Championship event (teams using the FedEx Online Shipping system click here: http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/content.aspx?id=4156 and scroll to bottom for instructions.)
REMEMBERthese important points:
  • TEAM LOAD IN - The team load in location is NOT through a loading dock area. You must plan on bringing in your supplies and materials through the front doors of the venues. In most cases the doors are not wider then 34". Please do not exceed this size in the width of your cart.
  • IMMEDIATE ON-SITE CRATE WEIGHT COMPLAINT RESOLUTION - If your crate shows a weight over 400 lbs and you believe this is in error, DO NOT OPEN THE CRATE. Immediately seek out a Shepard Exposition Services Representative for a re-weigh. If you open your crate you will relinquish any rights of appeal. Please note this should be done by one of the three representatives entering the Pit for early uncrating; hours set aside for resolution are 7:45 am - 8:30 am. See full details in Section 4.12.4 of the Competition Manual.
  • TEAM STATIONS - No structure greater than 10 feet high above the floor can be constructed in your team station space. Please read the additional rules regarding team stations in Section 3.7.4.1 of the Competition Manual.
  • PRE-ORDER MENU - A friendly reminder to review your pre-order lunch selections to make sure you are all set!
Go Teams!

Have they tried to go through the front doors at Pittsburgh with your pit supplies? It is on a hill side with a lot of steps to access the doors. We have always used the loading dock doors on the side of the building. Same with Palmetta except it is very easy to go through the dock doors without any hassle.
