Ramp to Ringer Ratio

After the first week of regionals, what have the ratio of rack scorers to ramp bots been at the various regionals?

After looking through the 54 bots at PNW, I was slightly shocked at how few 2x 12" ramp bots there were. By my count there were about 10 of them, which suprised me a bit because I was expecting 1/3 - 1/2 of them to be ramps. I know there were others that had maybe a 1 bot ramp and an arm, but in general those teams suffered by spreading there abilities thin and ended up not being too useful in the elimination rounds. I was actually a little worried that we would get a good ramp bot for elination matches, but luckily we were with 1280, who had an awesome winch/4 bar ramp system that worked great with us. Sadly we fried our robot controller in the third match of the Quarter Finals so we didn't advance , but it worked well when we were functional.

So what was the ratio like at the other regionals? Did PNW just happen to have a below average number of ramp bots? It seems to me that this ratio is going to vary a lot from regional to regional.

Re: Ramp to Ringer Ratio

How did you fry the robot controller? That's unfortunate to see a good robot fail due to something like that.
