2007 Greater Kansas City Regional Feedback
Alright, now that the inaugural event is over, what are your thoughts? The regional planning committee would love to have your comments, concerns, and suggestions to make 2008 even better.
Thanks, Jordan Stobaugh |

Well as mentor from TEam 476 and being involved in this madness for 8 years now i hve to say the KC regional ws AWESOME. A wonderful job of organization and making everyone feel at home.
things I thought you did especially well. The safety glasses being available to go throught the pit area. This allowed visitors the chance to see the real FIRST. The layout was really good. Free parking Closeness of the arena to parking Ease of getting to arena Music was not overbearing The Native American drummers Awesome Barry announcing - Ok that is kind of iffy. The bag giveaway. I wish your machine shop would have had a little more capability. The lack of a mill primarily - but the guys made up for it with skill. Too many speakers!!!!! and for too long. So all in all great job. We will be back next year - hopefully |

Re: 2007 Greater Kansas City Regional Feedback
Even though we've only been in FIRST two years, I know it felt to us like a veteran regional. There was hardly any difference between this regional and the St. Louis regional we attended last year in point of quality. The personnel involved were all helpful (though due to a miscommunication our team was sent in circles two or three times while trying to get the master RC code update--still, that sort of thing happens everywhere). There were quite a few speakers, but when the goal of FIRST for the year is to get politicians involved, that's a necessity. Really, I couldn't have been more impressed--this was run like a veteran regional, and went much more smoothly than expected.

Re: 2007 Greater Kansas City Regional Feedback
The Kansas CIty Regional was awesome, far better than Florida last year when we lost power for about an hour. I am agreeing with you on the long speakers, but when something is new, long speeches are a must. GO 1448 Rocket Ooy R4 "The Atlas"

OK - who out there is willing to tell Dean Kamen or Jim Utaski that they can't speak for as long as they want? NOT ME!
