[FVC]: FVC World Championship Hall of Fame?

At the FIRST Robotics Competition Championship there is a Hall of Fame at which the FRC Chairman's Award Winners have a display and members are on-hand to talk to people regarding their teams and accomplishments. Would the members of the FVC community be interested in a Hall of Fame area for winners of the Inspire Award? If such a location is established, would you visit the area?

I would love to see a FVC Hall of Fame and I would definitely visit and talk to the teams there.

Re: [FVC]: FVC World Championship Hall of Fame?

Well this is a rather self fulfilling answer - but yes, I think it's a great idea. I know my team would love to create a great exhibit for such a Hall of Fame if it were to exist. I think a Hall of Fame is a great way to commemorate FIRST history, and as FVC is just getting started anything that gives it "tradition" or "history" is great in my book.

The only question is where would they put it(in the Vex pits, I suppose)?

Re: [FVC]: FVC World Championship Hall of Fame?

Please don't run me out of town on a rail for the heresy of putting Mechanical/Software engineering ahead of being inspirational, but I think I would prefer to see (clever Vex machinery) exhibits from teams who won the Innovate award, rather than the awards like the Connect or Inspire.

I would enjoy learning from Connect and Inspire winners through other channels.

Blake

With a ten member max, would FIRST require an attendent at each stall all of the time?

I wonder if there could also be an online version of the FIRST Hall of Fame in addition to the one in the pits in Atlanta, where teams can upload video(s), post pictures, and other "interactive" content. That way, every team would be able to see their accomplishments, as opposed to the ones that attend Championships.

They could use a Powerpoint/DVD on a loop instead.

Re: [FVC]: FVC World Championship Hall of Fame?

There are lots of logistical reasons that it would be difficult to create an FVC HOF. (where to put it, how to staff it, etc.) I guess my point was, would you like to see the teams recognized and how? I like the idea of an online tribute until something else could be put into place; it would also allow more than just the 100 FVC teams that can go to Championships the opportunity to learn more about the winning teams.
Another "to-do" project!
