[FTC]: Rockwell Collins to Announce Significant K-12 STEM Education Commitment

Rockwell Collins to Announce Significant K-12 STEM Education Commitment
"Rockwell Collins and FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of
Science and Technology) are making a major announcement
regarding a significant financial and resource commitment to
expand FIRST LEGO League and other FIRST programs throughout
Iowa and in the company's locations in the United States.
The announcement will take place at the annual Rockwell
Collins K-12 Partnership Program kickoff breakfast. FIRST LEGO
League encourages 9 to 14 year-olds to explore Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) concepts through a
hands-on, interactive robotics program. Rockwell Collins and
FIRST are also teaming up to support FIRST Tech Challenge as a
way to continue to engage high school students in science and
technology as they get older."

Re: [FTC]: Rockwell Collins to Announce Significant K-12 STEM Education Commitment

This is pretty sweet. Rockwell Collins is a huge company, with sites all across the US including Iowa, and Florida that I know of off the top of my head.

They are one of our biggest customers where I work, and I'm glad to see them jumping into the FIRST world so strong!

Rockwell Automation was already involved, but Rockwell Collins joining is going to make them one of the biggest participants in FIRST among NASA, and all the other top sponsors of the program(s)!

Kudos to Rockwell!

I wish I knew about the conference a while ago, I would convince my company to send me there. lol

I'm looking forward to hearing more about what they're planning to do. They have a handful of offices here in the Seattle-area.
