Looking for FIRST HQ picture
Hi,
I'm looking for a nice picture of the FIRST Headquarters building for a presentation. I've tried CD.com, Google and The Internet Time Machine, all I got was this: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/19634 ![]() ![]() This last picture is great, but it is too small. Can anyone share a better, bigger picture? ![]() |

Re: Looking for FIRST HQ picture
As long as credit for the photo(s) are to our team*, we don't have any problems with other teams using photos from our site for presentations/reports. That's one of the main reasons why we like to host tons of "stock photos" in addition to the photos directly relating to our team.
* A small "Photo courtesy Gus Robotics Team 228, www.team228.org" under the photo would be fine. Or if your presentation has a footnote/reference/bibliography section, credit there would be fine as well. |

OMG!!! Is that a title block painted on the floor??? Hahahahaha! That's awesome. Yeah, I've been in FIRST for what will be 8 years in '08, and I still haven't visited FIRST HQ. One of these days. ![]() |

Re: Looking for FIRST HQ picture
I assume the Team 81 robot up there is from Toroid Terror, since in Rack 'n Roll we werent allowed to possess more than one tube.

Re: Looking for FIRST HQ picture
Yep,
Pre permanent numbers, pre IFI, pre main battery, pre backup battery, pre alliance, pre large playing field and used a surrogate robot in the form of a vacuum cleaner when there weren't three robots on the field. Used drills for drive motors, had significant human player interaction and scoring and this particular one could elevate over fifteen feet. The top (holding four tubes) is able to tilt from front to back. And I think the first Wildstang robot to die when a drill was passed through a cross member containing wiring. |

Re: Looking for FIRST HQ picture
I can only begin to imagine the pain in the rear controlling our robots was pre-IFI... thankfully I joined just in time to see the dawn of autonomous, and the end of the BS2sx... don't miss it one bit.

Re: Looking for FIRST HQ picture
Yes, that's Wildstang's 1997 robot.

Re: Looking for FIRST HQ picture
That makes sense, since 1997 was before the team numbering freeze.
