Since nobody ever really reads the reasoning behind the picks, I'm not gonna bother with it.

Re: 2007 NFL Pick-em: Week 12

Green Bay at Detroit
Giants showed that a good defense can shut-down the Lions.
New York Jets at Dallas
Jets caught the Steelers sleeping, they won't have that opportunity against the Cowboys.
Indianapolis at Atlanta
I can only hope that the Colts won't let this be a close game too.
Tennessee at Cincinnati
Their defense will carry them through another game.
Buffalo at Jacksonville
Garrard gives the Jags a chance to make the playoffs.
Seattle at St. Louis
Let's see how you do against a better D, St. Louis.
Houston at Cleveland
The Schaub-Johnson connection is back, but not good enough to compete with Anderson, Winslow, and Edwards.
Washington at Tampa Bay
I like what I saw from the Redskins offense against the Cowboys.
Minnesota at New York Giants
This one comes down to the QB, and Eli is much better than Tavaris
New Orleans at Carolina
I wonder if Carolina regrets cutting Keyshawn...
Oakland at Kansas City
Home team.
San Francisco at Arizona
49ers take the Rams place as worst team in the NFC.
Denver at Chicago
Grossman is bound to throw one to many INTs to the Champ or Dre'
Baltimore at San Diego
No chance.
Philadelphia at New England
No chance.
Miami at Pittsburgh
Who makes these schedules?

Washington at Tampa Bay
I like what I saw from the Redskins offense against the Cowboys...
but too many injuries, mainly to their secondary (Sean Taylor) and receivers. There best wide receiver not on the injury report is Brandon Lloyd. Yes, Santana Moss, Randle El, and Thrash will likely play, but they won't be 100%.
So I'm going to give the edge to the Bucs, with their great combination of youth and veterans on both sides of the ball.

That was a pathetic game Denver vs Chicago. I saw it and 3 bad kicks by that idiot number 10. ... He kicks to 23 TWO TIMES IN A ROW not learning from his mistakes. He also got a kick blocked....

Suddenly the Patriots don't seem so invisible, the Eagles were BIG underdogs and handed the game away in the end and only lost by 3. Im excited for December 9th thats all I have to say . . .

It's only one game, don't get too worked up about it. This has been the Patriots worst game all year, yet they still won. The same can't be said for any other team, including Indianapolis and Pittsburgh.

Wanna know the most hilarious thing about that game? That some Patriots fans actually had the gall to BOO the team when things weren't going their way. Perhaps they should learn to appreciate the great team they have instead of being so spoiled by their expectant success? Heck, with all that booing, you'd have thought they were Philadelphia fans or something (cue Rich Kressly).

Re: 2007 NFL Pick-em: Week 12

I think everyone picked Pittsburgh tonight. So that means I can root for the Dolphins and not worry about losing ground in the standings!

Yay!

Unfortunately, someone did pick Miami (xzvrw2), and he threatens to pick them until they win.
Fortunately, you will still be one of the high scorers for the week (tied with boiler and A_Reed) and have the overall lead (2 point ahead of JackN) regardless of the result of tonight's game.

The Patriots are the best team in the league no doubt, all I was saying was there is a blueprint now. When Brady has pressure on him, his accuracy is historically sub-par. I don't know of many teams (other than maybe the Colts and Eagles) who have been able to put pressure on him consistently. Also, the defense had huge holes in the middle because they are a defense that likes to tie up the sidelines, sometimes forgetting about the middle.

An off game, maybe every team has those, but I think the Eagles exposed a lot of things that other teams can use against the Pats down the road. They are not unbeatable!
