PBASIC Linux Editor

I have to use PBASIC for a robotics class at school, and would like to use Linux. Although FIRST isn't using PBASIC anymore , google searches for "PBASIC Linux" and similar things keep bringing me back here.
So, does anyone know of a decent Linux editor for PBASIC code? Is there a plugin for Gedit, Eclipse, Vim, or other editor?
I think I can compile and download programs under Linux, but not having syntax highlighting is going to drive me nuts.

Re: PBASIC Linux Editor

Well, I don't know much about Linux, but I LOVE PBASIC. Anyway, have you tried a WINE emulator? It's actually called WINE, and then so you'd be able to install BASIC Stamp Editor v2.2 on WINE, so you can program/compile.

Or are you not using a BS? Demothesis

About 9 months ago Parallax started supporting Linux and Mac platforms. They have also been steadily adding more support for languages besides English. Go to this link

Re: PBASIC Linux Editor

I might be able to use Wine. However, I'm not really a fan of the Windows Basic Stamp Editor. It's spacing paradigm is bizarre and frustrating to work with. If you know how to change this, that would be very helpful!

The Parallax Linux IDE doesn't work at all for me. I start it from the command line, and it hangs at the splash screen.

Re: PBASIC Linux Editor

Just as an update, I wrote a syntax highlighting definition file for gedit. It isn't perfect, but it was close enough to keep me from pulling my hair out. You can download a copy here:
http://botsnlinux.googlepages.com/pbasic.lang
Drop it into your /usr/share/gtksourceview-2.0/language-specs directory.
