Last year's game allowed you to trade weight for height. This helped make robots more unique. What are your thoughts on the matter? Why did they get rid of this rule? Will they bring it back in the future?

Re: No height choice?
There usually isn't a choice of height or weight historically, last years game was unique in the respect, I think you may see the rule come back if you stay around long enough. That rule was specifically designed to make rack and roll more interesting though. Your going to need all your dimensions this year anyway trust me
. Anyway just a heads up on the height rule. Best of luck, -Drew |

Re: No height choice?
Dude, tell me about it. We've had to scrap 3 designs because of that 80" rule. it's very restrictive. What really takes the cake is that fact that the bumpers are a part of your robot for those measurements.

I really hate that. They mandate bumbers than count that towards the size of the robot??? ![]() |

He's messing with you, you wanted to know about future rules, so he linked you to a thread about time travel.

Now I get it, he is a crafty one. I never would have got that. Thanks for the explanation.

Re: No height choice?
that probably qualifies for "understatement of the year"

Re: No height choice?
Trading height for weight would be nice, but only if you could trade more weight for height, or vice versa, than in last year. For example; imagine a three foot tall robot that could be 150 lbs...
