Robocoach communication
I have read the manual many times but I have not found a rule for or against communication between the driver and robocoach. With all the drivers and robocoaches on the field and the possibility of distance between them I find communication is going to be hard. Is there a rule or lack of a rule about communication like walkie-talkies or bluetooth or anything?

Re: Robocoach communication
Walkie-talkies are out (Section 3.3, last bullet). I would also assume Bluetooth is out, due to the following (rule shortened for readability):
Quote:
IIRC, Bluetooth is infrared based. I would assume that you can't use it due to interference risk. Also see <T22>. Quote:

Re: Robocoach communication
Thank you so much for your help. It sounds like my team needs to do some major brainstorming and possibly learning sign language.

Re: Robocoach communication
Bluetooth is RF based, not IR based. I agree with the rest of what you said though.
