Virginia lifts ball without commands
Yes thats right my friends! Virginia merely runs into the ball and presto! The lift arms bring the trackball onto the launching platform.

Re: Virginia lifts ball without commands
We considered doing that but a huge con is the fact you if accidentally hit another teams ball you lose points for controlling it...

Re: Virginia lifts ball without commands
We will try really hard not to do that. The co-pilot and lower the arm right away if that is happening.

Re: Virginia lifts ball without commands
So, you guys did it too, huh?
We got that working on the prototype bot and, suffice to say, it is quite an ingenious method for picking up the ball! I'm glad we both came to the same conclusion ![]() |

Re: Virginia lifts ball without commands
weve done stuff like that in the past, and found that in practice more often than not you end up with a lost ball and a frustrated drive team )=
but hey, if you can get it to work effectively then more power to ya. |
