You don't when it's judged. The judges have a deadline for which they have to judge your website by, but other than that...that's all they give you. The only results you can get back is if you win Website Excellence or Best Website at a Regional / Championship.

Sometimes the judges will write on a guest-book but it's not really, mandatory. I've only seen it on several occasions.

You will get your website excellence banner / notification AFTER Championships (well thats how it's worked every other year I've been around for)

I really wish they gave you more feed back on this matter, it would help a lot of teams improve their websites for next year.

I have been always confused about this question. How do the judges JUDGE our website? Do they download our sites on their server right after the due date or do they just visit it on a random day before the regional and judge it???
How do they know if we added anything after the due date? Is it just luck or what?

The judges score the sites based on a list of criteria from the competion manual. They visit it before their deadline, and whatever is there is what they judge

yeah, i know the criteria part.. but you said they visit it before the regional deadline is.. so you telling me if you were lucky enough and ur team site was at the end of their list, and u added content to ur website after the website deadline, they will still count it??

Even though they have the deadline, I don't think they judge them until later. They have a lot to judge.

Judges are given a deadline to judge by, usually the week before the regional they are judging for. Criteria is strictly based off of the award manual's guidelines for a FIRST website, and each item is rated on a scale. In addition, judges can provide feedback, though the teams will not receive the feedback until after the competition (I believe). As Michelle said, you will not receive notification if you're a Website Excellence award winner until after Championships.

My advice is to continue to update your websites well into the competition season so that judge's can see that the site is active. Also, it wouldn't hurt to take a look at your competition by looking at the list of teams attending the regional and find their websites.

Some judges give feedback and email teams directly once the judging is over.
