Rex's Scouting System

We designed this to use server2go - a portable Apache/MySQL/PHP server. In normal operation, server2go will run on a computer in the pit with a wi-fi router. Scouts with laptops will then simply go to the web page and do their thing.

We needed a portable server so we can work in Atlanta. Scouts will be entering data both in the pits and from the stands (match info). We are currently implementing an easy way to sync. (Hopefully won't need it until Atlanta)

Anyway, here are some screens:

http://test.dulaneyrobotics.com/scout-sneak/2.png - Design not finished (not accurate info too.)

http://test.dulaneyrobotics.com/scout-sneak/5.png
http://test.dulaneyrobotics.com/scout-sneak/6.png - This will run on a screen in the pit continuously, and counts down to the next match. You can also delay the timer to match any delay in the event.

We will be testing it at Chesapeake, and if all goes well we should release it soon after. Any comments are welcome!

Re: Rex's Scouting System

This looks really cool. Could have some potential. Can't wait to see the release.

Re: Rex's Scouting System

Sounds very promising! As for the last screenshot (countdown) how does that work? If I have a display connected to my laptop, would this window pop-up separately so that I could drag it to the secondary display.

Re: Rex's Scouting System

We made one of these for this year. We are actually using it at the SD Regional, today, tomorrow, and Saturday. I'll let you know how it goes.
