game of 2 on 0, who won
At the MN Regional during the Practice rounds there was a match of 2 robots on 0, guess who won.
The team with 0 robots, with a score of 24 to 0. The team with 2 had penalty's which brought the score down to 0 and the team with out a robot still had their trackballs on the overpass and they won. |

Re: game of 2 on 0, who won
In Waterloo there was a qualifying match that was a 1 on 1. One robot fell over during hybrid mode, making the match a 1 v 0. The fallen robot violated G22, resulting in a 10 point penalty. Despite all this, the alliance with no moving robots almost won the match, losing 20-14. If the fallen robot had not taken that penalty, they would have won 24-20. In fact the only saving grace of the winning alliance was that they failed to remove their second trackball from the overpass, despite multiple attempts. This was by far the strangest match I have ever seen.

Re: game of 2 on 0, who won
Where was the match with 11 consecutive <G22>s? We were told about it at the MN regional. Apparently, one robot spun on a line and the refs called 11 penalties for breaking the plane.

Re: game of 2 on 0, who won
One of the strangest matches I saw, was at LSR where all 5 competing robots broke down with about 40 seconds left in the match. It was painful to watch, with no action and the clock ticking down. This was during one of the qualification matches, not practice.

(Okay, so it was Practice, but still... if the game was so predictable it wouldn't be fun to watch.) |

Re: game of 2 on 0, who won
I believe there was a match at the Arizona Regional where a team racked up 130 points worth of penalties by going over the line in circles during hybrid. Pretty sure it was a qualification match too

Re: game of 2 on 0, who won
I believe this actually happened during elimations at a match in Boston. The refs clearly counted up to 11 or something, but only counted it as 1 or 2 (I forget). I don't know if it was mercy or if the robot actually did not continuously keep on breaking the plane, but they seemed to be doing it in circles pretty consistently.
