Greetings FTC Teams:

Mark your Calendars! The /FIRST /Senior Mentors are pleased to announce
they will be hosting the first in a series of important Teleconference
calls for FTC Team Mentors and Coaches this coming Thursday, September
4, 2008 at 7 pm EST.

FTC Mentor Orientation, 101 provides useful guidelines for forming,
organizing, and shaping an FTC team for a new robotics season.
Suggestions for building team goals, planning activities, developing
effective communications, defining roles and responsibilities, and
locating helpful resources will be covered. This call will be led by FTC
Affiliate Partner Jill Wilker, and be assisted by Senior Mentor Kathie
Kentfield, and FTC Partner Manager JoAnn Halloran.

All team mentors/coaches are welcome. The call in number is
1-800-503-2899. The access number is 6663906.

We will have 150 lines available, so lines are on a first come, first
served basis. This call will be recorded and become available for

When you have accessed the conference call line, please put your phone
on "mute". Press " * 6 " to mute your phone so that your background
noise and chatter will not be heard on the call. Whenever

New for this season is the /FIRST /Senior Mentor Hotline. This hotline
provides an effective means and opportunity for teams, coaches, and
mentors to direct their questions, and to quickly obtain information
and/or to request other assistance from the /FIRST /Senior Mentors. All
