Hall Effect direction in labview
How can I check directions on my hall effect using the WPI counter VIs? I have tried doing this by enabling the direction sensitivity but the directions don't change even though the wheel is turning in a different direction.
Thanks, Noam - MisCar 1574 |

Re: Hall Effect direction in labview
We need to know the make and model hall effect sensors you are using to be of any help. A link to the spec sheet ultimately is required.
If you are using the gear tooth sensors that came in past year's KOP's... Only the first year those were included in the KOP did the sensors themselves support a way to determine direction. In later years the KOP sensors themselves aren't designed to recognize direction changes. You'd need to use two sensors placed out of phase with one another to detect direction. |
