Trailer Hitch Location

Our team is wondering if the trailer hitch needs to be on the 28" side or the 38" side. Is the a requirement to have it on the 28" side only? A part of one thread said that the hitch had to be on the 28" side. The rules do not specify one way or another.

any ideas???

THANKS!
(this would rly save our current design...)

I don't believe there are any rules regarding this so i think it doesn't matter.

Re: Trailer Hitch Location

If the rules don't specify, I'd go with being able to put the hitch wherever you want. The rules are important, not a post.

Re: Trailer Hitch Location

Be sure you read Team Update 1 carefully. What the GDC giveth, the GDC taketh away.
  • The Trailer Hitch is no longer part of the <R11> size/weight limitations - a give.
  • It can be on a long or short side (there never was any rule specifying otherwise, so this is neither give nor take).
  • It must be located on the Bumper Perimeter - a take.

Re: Trailer Hitch Location

Thanks everyone. I did not know that team update 1 was already out so I will check that out.

You can locate it off center, but you cannot put it on a corner because the hitch is a 7" bar!
