Team 461 is done
So we got our robot together in pretty short order. We'll take a 4 week break then hammer out the last few details a day or so before ship. But anyway, RECORD TIME!

Re: Team 461 is done
Done, you say? Ha, sez I!
Looks more like the cat is away and the mice are having a little joke. And if that really is your final robot, I'd like to be a fly on the nearest wall when a certain well-known Purdue FIRST mentor (cough**Flo**cough) runs down the inspection checklist with you. As a concept, I really like it. ![]() |

Re: Team 461 is done
Woops, accidentally deleted the last one.
Were you guys using the old big CIM motor to test your prototype too? Small world... what kind of range did you get using the one wheel? Love the Styrofoam. |

Re: Team 461 is done
Yeah we used a big CIM motor. In fact the motor and wheels were actually taken directly off of our 2006 robot (there were two wheels in the picture, not one). As for range, we were testing it around 10 feet from who knows what height because we just set it on a table. Just a note, in the orientation that it's in in the picture we noticed that the distance the ball traveled was partially dependent on how high we dropped it in from (of course, that wasn't the only variable...).

Re: Team 461 is done
No wonder FIRST restricted the use of duct tape in past years.
Now teams can get their robots put together almost overnight! As an experienced inspector, I detect a slight non-compliance with the bumper rules. But if you have no primary structure frame in your robot, does <R08> Section M even apply? Enjoy your 4-week break... |

Re: Team 461 is done
That's cool that you guys were done so early. We (team 1721) recently dumped our other design for something like this and were wondering if you had some drawings you'd maybe be willing to share with us?
That'd be so great if you could! |
