Program Wirelessly

Is there a way that you can connect to the driver's station wirelessly by connecting 2 ports on the wireless bridge to both ports of the driver's station and connect the laptop to the bridge to connect to one of those ethernet ports?

Re: Program Wirelessly

To download code wirelessly, you will need to configure your wireless network and connect everything appropriately.

Wireless bridge-->ethernet 1 on cRio
Router-->ethernet 1 on DS
Laptop-->ethernet 2 on DS

Make sure your IP is configured correctly on your laptop (10.xx.xx.6, default gateway: 10.xx.xx.4).

The manual for the proper configuration of the cRIO and the wireless network can be found here.

The entire manual can be downloaded here.

Re: Program Wirelessly

I have had equal success just connecting my laptop to the wifi network and using DHCP. If you want, you can assign a static IP of 10.xx.yy.6 to the PC, but in our tests, this is not necessary.

Remember, there is nothing special about any of these ports.. Its just one big network..

Re: Program Wirelessly

It is only necessary to set your PC to a static IP of .6 if you want to use it to receive dashboard packets from the cRIO.

Those dashboard packets are sent via UDP exclusively to 10.xx.yy.6.
