2106 two weeks into Lunacy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wwl8NAO3Upo

we created a list of three things we need to accomplish in order to have a successful time playing the game this year:
1. create something to get balls off the ground
2. create something to deliver the balls to the scoring trailer
3. get balls for #1 to #2

After two weeks, we can take #3 and #1 off the list. It's been a good two weeks for our little team.

#2 will be tackled tomorrow since we don't have school Monday.

I like that prototype: it picks up orbit balls and lifts them up high in one motion. Our team is having trouble with lifting our orbit balls into the prototype launching pieces we've made; we could use something like that. Good luck this build season!

That sounds like a good list as far as the robot goes, and it's great to hear that you've gotten so much accomplished already.

I'd like to add that there are things beyond the robot that you need for success at a competition, such as scouting, understanding the rules, and strategy. These are things you can work on after the robot

Totally!
We just have 6 weeks to get the robot together. This is also the first time the NASA/VCU is during week 4, so we have time to get things together. We are planning on scouting the new DC regional live. We hope this gives us an idea of how the game is going to play out before we have to play it.

Very nice! REX is also going with a conveyor belt this year. Just wondering, what type of motor did you use, a window motor?
