<R54> and <R26>

R54- can we use a limit switch to directly cut the motor power (bypassing the programming)?

R26- unclear whether we can program after ship day...

<R54> is pretty clear--if you're going to cut the power, you have to do it via a PWM or relay. Also see <R67> and <R44>. You can't use that limit switch for that purpose. You can program it to do that, but you can't do it without the programming.

<R26> is also pretty clear. I quote the last paragraph:

Can't develop and complete software if you can't program, can you?

Thanks.
The R26 rules is somewhat contradicted:
Quote:
On the software side, writing actual lines of code, verification of
syntax, final debugging, etc would all be considered development of the final software implementation,
and must be completed during the approved fabrication periods.

The R26 rules is somewhat contradicted:
That isn't part of <R26>. Also, "approved periods" this year is covered in <R26-B>: "There is no limit to the amount of time that may be put into this effort, other than via the realities of the calendar."

In other words, there isn't a contradiction.
