Wireless Networks(A/B/G/N)
Hey all,
I've checked in the rule book, but, it doesnt specify which channels/standards of wireless will be used at the competitions this year. Does anyone know which will be used specifically? Would we be able to fire up a wireless access point? Thanks! |

802.11n is used for the robots, they do not want us to set up wireless networks because of interference.

Kiet,
Wireless N will be used at the competitions. FIRST as not indicated if they will allow wireless networks other than those on the field. I would expect that decision to come soon and we will be told in a future Team Update. Mike |

Shadow,
You can correct that problem by enabling security on your router and gaming adapter. I'd do it anyway, just to be safe - you never know when someone will decide to have some "fun" and connect. |
