Go to Post I then asked if I could use a flux capacitor for power, but that didn't go over too well, either (they did say I could use it for decorative purposes, though). - Kevin Watson [more]

Team 1918 NC GEARS Robot-VIDEO

We took it to a practice field nearby (thanks team 74) and got to mess around a bit. We had a few issues, but overall, all went well and we are excited for competitions to begin.

If anyone wants pics, I can post them, but I think the video is probably fine. Good luck to everyone!

Was that regulation field material? And what is your drive train?

Your acceleration seemed unbelievable, as did your ability "whip" the trailer around.

Yea that was regulation material, it was all taped together into one giant sheet. haha Our drive train is a 4 wheel drive system, 2 wheels per side, 1 motor operating each side. Fairly simple idea with a skid steer style steering control operated by two joysticks. Thats about it. We do have good acceleration, but it probably wouldnt hurt to be a little faster. Great drivers make it operate very smoothly.
