Live Video Setup
I was just wondering, how does one set it up so that you can get and view live feed from the Axis Camera on a laptop? We've done our regional already, but we didn't use the camera, so I don't really know how it'd work.

Re: Live Video Setup
Well, normally you simply use the default dashboard program that came with LabVIEW. However, due to bandwidth limitations with the FMS, they blocked the port which the dashboard and camera used to communicate, essentially rendering any sort of dashboard useless. Our team stopped bringing our laptop to the arena after the 2nd practice match.
Theoretically, you could package the picture data into the 980 byte packets that you're allowed to use to transmit back other data, but the quality of the image would be almost too bad to use at that bandwidth. |
