FTC Database

Hi Everyone,

We are an FTC team looking to setup a scouting database similar to one of those run by many of the FRC teams, especially similar to the 1511 database (because theirs is accessible by multiple teams). Our head programmer is somewhat fluent in most languages, and I can do the bare basics in most as well, but our teams is made of junior high students so we aren't as fluent as many of you. Any help would be appreciated; e.g. advice on mounting to servers, commented source code (especially code that has customization menus).

Thanks,

Alex

Re: FTC Database

I am not that familiar with FTC, but the rules can not be that much different from FRC. The only difference I know of is there are two teams per alliance as opposed to three. This should be a simple change in many programs.

The database of my own program is entirely neutral to the number of teams on an alliance (or even how many alliances) and different data collected that varies between seasons or competitions. The only thing that specifies three teams is the user interface, which would need to be changed in two files at minimum (four or five if all instances of three must be turned to two), and even then it doesn't require you enter all three, any changes should just be cosmetic.
