Early Career - Pre-Rookie Team Event at IRI

Early Career - Pre-Rookie Teams

There will be an Early Career / Pre-Rookie (EC) event at the 2009 IRI. These teams will not compete as part of the overall IRI field, but will be getting field time and match time to learn or continue to learn more about FIRST. These forming teams will also benefit from talking with veteran teams at the event and watching the action on the IRI field.

There will be a field set up in the Aux Gym that will be used for EC matches and practice matches. There will be pits set up near this field.

Matches will be run with a 3 v 3 format, the same as a regular match. If there are not 6 EC teams ready, the matches may be 2 v 2, or other IRI teams may fill in to give a field of 6 robots. (IRI competing teams must stay alert to their IRI match schedule.)

Matches will be normal length matches.

Early Career matches schedule is below. Other times will be open for IRI team practice.

Friday
12-1
2-3
4-5

Saturday
9-10
11-12
12 NOON - Practice Field Closes for ALL activity.

Special Thanks to Purdue FIRST Teams and Steve Florence for leading this activity.

WE NEED THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT TO MAKE THIS WORK -

6 trailers + pins
4 Practice Robots (must be able to play Lunacy and drive on the Rigolith field).

Please PM Chris Fultz if you have a trailer or robot you can bring.

Please reply if you are an early career team that is planning to attend, or if you are a veteran team that is bringing a new group with you. We have information on a few of the teams, but may not have them all.

There is NO CHARGE to the teams that are part of the Early Career event, and they are invited for all IRI activities, including Friday night dinner.
