Hello..
can anyone help me with making chains in inventor? the chains are supposed to be made using given gears and chain belt. HELP PLEASE! ![]() |

I'm not sure if it's relevant, but there's a belt tool in the level 3 tutorials. Last year in 2009 we had a given chain link and had to make the chain...I'm sure there's an easier way...

There is the chain generator. It creates chain based upon existing, virtual, or created sprockets. I use the old view of Inventor 2010. It is under design accelerator panel. Clicking the assembly panel title allows you to change what panel you are on. Click on triangle next to the v belt design accelerator and select chain generator. From there choose your sprockets, if they are existing, virtual, or component, chain type, and mid plane. Its pretty straight forward.
