3D screen and cameras
Carl hayden Hogh School Falcon Robotics, 842, built a prototype 3D viewing system. Full color and the audience uses polorized glasses. With a grant from Intel, we built a bigger, better one. This video is a promotional piece.
The system was used by several underwater robots in last spring's NURC competition. Currently the system is on loan at the Arizona Science Center where the public gets to experience the 3D. We plan to again bring the system to the Atlanta championship as well as the AZ regional. |

Re: 3D screen and cameras
Very cool. I like the ingenuity, especially in the custom 3d display. I currently work for a robotics company that specializes in stereo cameras, so all of the 3d is calculated on board the imagers. It's neat to see a version that just returns raw images.
