Team 1058 T-Shirt Launcher almost done

So as kickoff rapidly approches, Team 1058 is almost done with our T-Shirt Launchers, they should be done by kickoff, as our school peprally is the day before.

here's our demo video:

That was cool, and a very interesting idea instead of using an air tank.

NICE!

wow!! Totally awesome! I never thought of using wheels to shoot the t shirt! Very nice idea!

It also looked like you guys are going to have it auto load. If you guys could get that to work, that would be pretty sweet!!

I love the idea of not having air. No compressors, air leaks, danger of explosions, very nicely done

actually, i dont have any pictures or videos now, but we built and mounted a 6 barrrel holder onto it

it is rotated by a pnumatic cylindar, that has a latchy thingy so it only moves the barrell one way, works quite nicley, we also added the ability of tilt after the shooting system was mounted to teh drive base....

to top it off, its controlled by either: 2 360 controllers, 2 wii motes, or an iPod touch (yes, we have student that LOVES programming

Re: Team 1058 T-Shirt Launcher almost done

So now the title of the thread should be changed to "done"

we just had it in action at our school pep rally a few periods ago (yes, I am perusing CD in the middle of my desktop publishing class now =]). I can't be quoted because I was with the dance team, but from the little that I saw and from what I heard, it shot out all 6 or 12 t-shirts with only one "misfire" where it didn't go as far as all the other ones.

hopefully we can get some pictures up, it looks really good! and it shows really well too!

of course though, nobody really clapped or cheered for the robotics team. we still need to work on that...=/
