The key word is the definition of POSSESSED. If you spin the robot or back away, do all but one of the balls no longer remain with your robot? If so, you have not POSSESSED more than one ball, and you are not breaking any rules. If not, you receive a one point penalty per ball.
Kinda like Overdrive.
