Re: Is LabView available for download this year?

Last year we made a regular version of LabVIEW available for download - not the whole FRC version. This year the 2010 FRC edition of LabVIEW is only available on the DVDs in the kits. Available for download is the mandatory update.

Thanks,

Re: Is LabView available for download this year?

ok. thanks for the info. will projects created in last year's LabView work with this year's version?

i've been teaching myself LabView by writing applications and such, will the ability to build executables still exist in the FRC version?

Re: Is LabView available for download this year?

Yes, the projects and VIs will load. It is a good idea to make a copy as LabVIEW converts them to the next version and it is more tedious to save them for previous than keep a backup.

There were a few WPILib changes, so you may end up with some broken VIs. I believe this was one of the tasks that beta teams performed, and I think it went well.
