Re: Prototype FRC Chile
FAILS Inspection !!!!!
You have 5 CIM motors. Only 4 are allowed. You don't need 2 CIMs per transmission. That power output is quite likely to exceed your ability to transfer it through those wheels onto the ground. Even if 5 CIMs were allowed you only have 3 Jaguars. The has to be a one to one correspondence between each CIM and Jaguar. If you remove 1 each CIM from each transmission then you will be ready to pass inspection. Other than that things look great. How does your kicker work ? Good Luck !! <R52> Motors specifically permitted on 2010 FRC ROBOTS include: A. All motors, actuators, and servos listed in the 2010 KOP, B. An unlimited number of COTS servos with a maximum output torque of 55 oz-in and maximum rotational speed of 100 rpm at 6 Vdc (e.g. HITEC model HS-322HD or HS-325HB servos, as provided in the KOP), C. An unlimited number of FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) servos (HITEC HS-475HB servos), D. One, two, or three additional 2½” CIM motors (part #FR801-001 and/or M4-R0062-12) in addition to those provided in the KOP. This means that up to five, and no more, 2½” CIM motors can be used on the ROBOT. Last edited by Jones571 : 29-01-2010 at 21:29. |

Re: Prototype FRC Chile
oh yeah
you can use 5 cims, on the robot you are using 2 cim motors for each wheel, your main intention is to have a wonderfull torch? have you tried with 1 cim motor for each wheel??? the robot looks great, specially, because it can pass easily on the bumps thats good go teams |

Re: Prototype FRC Chile
I stand corrected - epic fail on the motor count !! My humble apologies.
But the jag count is still wrong. Mmmm, 5 CIMs, seriously interesting... Ed |

Re: Prototype FRC Chile
No, their is four Jag the other one is near the brain. you can see it in the video when the robot is coming down the bump.
The Jag rule he was talking about was having one Jag run two motor. Last edited by Derschatten : 29-01-2010 at 22:19. |

Re: Prototype FRC Chile
"EPIC FAIL" I say as I walk off in total defeat !!!!
We it is good that everyone has had a close look and got this team out of inspection. |

Re: Prototype FRC Chile
I see other potential inspection issues. In the video of the robot going over the bump, stop it at 5 seconds. It looks like the wheels are outside the FRAME PERIMETER. Certainly the kicker is outside the FRAME PERIMETER, as are parts of the foam padding.
