Is the AOL Instant Messanger service down tonight (10-9-01)? For some reason it wont load my buddy list and it wont let me load it manually......plus it wont allow me to sign on to any of my screen names........


If it is working please tell me so i can get some update virus protection software and see if i have a virus......

As of 9:00 pm EDT, AIM is working just fine.

Mine works too, but there are only 6 people on right now which is strange...

Will it let u log on at all? I've gotten on twice, but it wont let me load my buddy list and it wont let me add names.....it tells me to try again......are u getting the same thing David?

mine has done that before. but as of now, mine won't even connect

Same thing here, i just got back on though, its around 10 eastern time. wierd... looks like one of AOL's servers crashed. Most likely only certain people's screennames/passwords/buddy lists are stored on this server, and these are the people that cannot connect.

Just a theory.

That's a very good theory and i think i'm going to have to believe it........hopefully it's fixed by tomorrow when i'll want to use it next.......as of 9:15 pm (Indiana Time) 10:15 (Tom's Time) it still isnt working........


(I thought i had gotten infected by a virus because i recieved one in my email a few days ago....but i got rid of it.....)

ill use this as an example of a thread that probably should've been done via the private message function of the board


i dont really care that much ... but it could really clutter up the forums if done too many times....
