Bedford Bearcats' Week 4 Video (Kicker)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXoI-uff4iQ

We're doing much better this year than we have the last few years in terms of build progress, since we did much more planning and prototyping before actually bolting any frame pieces together. By week 4, we've had ourselves a robot that drives, and a partially-programmed kicker. We're really hoping to do well this season and at least make it to the finals. Anyway, enjoy.

BTW, YouTube has been in maintenance mode all night, so no proper title, description, or high-quality quality options as of this posting.

That's going to be one sweet machine. Great job.

Now for a little critique...Sorry. When posting any video, or picture, on CD, make sure everyone, working on the robot, have their safety glasses on. It's the first thing CR'ers see. I saw one female student, drilling a hole in the bot, without safety glasses. Oh, I mean over her eyes.

Thanks for noticing that, as did our other college mentor that made the video. He said there was a lot of footage that he left out because of the lack of safety. We both gave the team a chewing-out the very next day, and now everyone makes sure everyone has eye protection.

We'll be going over some things after the competition in regards to working in the shop. In previous years, the school didn't let us meet year-round, so we didn't have much time to train/warn the new people.

Handsome looking bot, and I couldn't help but be jealous of your large workspace.

A reminder I give my team when we use parts that are equivalent to KoP parts from past years - just be sure to represent them honestly as far as cash value on your Bill of Materials even if, truthfully, you're saving some money by slipping some veteran parts in there (to my eyes, those wheels look like pneumatic KoP wheels circa 2004, and at least in our shop the pneumatic cylinders that say Parker are older than the ones that say Bimba).
