Camera Config Fail.

Hooookay so team 3299 now officialy joins the ranks of those who are having camera fail.

I read

http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...amera+problems

that forum front to back, but the thing is, we aren't even getting as far as these people, we can't get the camera configure and changing the user name and password to FRC, FRC.

We are following the directions in the Control System Manual, going to
http://192.168.0.90/
and then it asks for login and password, i enter "root" and "pass" like it says, and nothing happens.

So how do we configure the camera so that it can talk to labview and the cRIO?

Re: Camera Config Fail.

Your best bet at this point is to start over. On the back of the camera is a small black button. This is the reset button. Press and hold this button down while you unplug the power for the camera. While holding the reset button, plug in the power. Keep holding the reset button for several seconds and then release.

Now, with the camera connected to your PC, navigate to the camera with our browser to 192.168.0.90. The camera should respond with a window asking you to set the root password. Set this password to "admin". The camera will then ask you to log in. Use the user name "root" and password "admin". This should get you to the main camera pages. From there, you can navigate to the page that lets you set up additional users. Add the FRC user with password FRC and you should be good to go.

What browser are you using? We discovered that Safari didn't work with the WGA600N login screen. Perhaps there's something similar tripping you up with the camera.

Re: Camera Config Fail.

I'm away from the FRC documentation, but I don't recall any password being on the camera when shipped from the factory. The first time you log in, it asks for a password for the root account. With this you can add additional user or admin accounts. Of course if you have access to the camera, you can press the button and redefine everything as listed in the previous posting.
