Fun stuff! My brother has been working on re-doing his old DS scouting program for use with Breakaway. Video of it's current state here. I'm not sure if we used the system last year, but it worked great in 08.

I'm still a fan of the paper method, myself.

Cool.

This system worked great for us last year. The DS's made inputting data really easy (just tap the screen for each ball scored) and allowed us to quickly and efficiently compare different teams before alliance selection.

The coolest feature is that the system links a little pic of the teams robot to its data. Speaking as a former alliance captain, this is a lifesaver when you're on the field, waiting to pick, and you can't remember some four digit team number
