Our indicator lights are sticking out past the frame. Is this legal???

That depends.

Are your indicator lights sticking out past your frame perimeter? If so, see <R16> and revise the light location accordingly.

Are your indicator lights sticking out beyond your frame, but within your frame perimeter? If so, you're legal, but may want to move them to a slightly safer location.

The photons are allowed outside the frame, the emitting device must be inside the perimeter.

The lights are past the frame perimeter so according to R16, our lights can't be there. I guess we'll have to put those on the doors too.
