Dumb question #30291839472923
Will the teams need to each make a trident for competition? Does it need to be included in with the shipping crate/ bag?

Nope. You don't have to. They'll have one on the field for you to use.

Re: Dumb question #30291839472923
All field elements are provided by FIRST at the events. This includes the Trident, the balls, the bumps, the towers, the practice field and its equipment if there is one, you get the picture.
You don't need to bring one, but if your HP is going to be spending time on the practice field, you may want one. As it is not a robot part, it may or may not be included in the Withholding Allowance (it could be made into a lot of spacers...) |

...and loaning it to other teams for practice (or just leaving it at the practice field) will make you many new friends.

it is not a dumb question... but like everyone else said you do not need to bring anything that goes on the field except your robot...
