AndyMark Chain Tensioners

Team 3125 would like thank all teams for their support following the bus accident and we would also like to thank the teams that supported our team during our rookie season.

As part of our thank you to the FIRST community, we would like to share with you a modification we made to the AndyMark chain tensioners. We found that for us the chain tensioners blocks worked well, but we thought we could improve on them with some minor modifications. We modified the chain tensioners with a plate fixed to one block while allowing the other block to be adjusted along a slotted opening (see attached drawings).

We would like to share this with other teams in the hope that it will help them this year or in following years. Good luck to all teams. We look forward to meeting many of you at the Connecticut regional or at the Championships in Atlanta.

Thank you again for your support.

Team 3125

Re: AndyMark Chain Tensioners

Dear Cody and the rest of the Pirates of the Pythagorean,

Thank you for posting this. The entire FIRST community continues to get better due to this sort of continuous improvement effort.

Sincerely,
Andy

ps: It is also impressive that this team came to us a few weeks ago, asking if it would be OK for them to share this design improvement with the FIRST community. Thank you again to team 3125.

Re: AndyMark Chain Tensioners

Thank you for the suggestion. When we use AM tensioners in the future, we'll be sure to incorporate this. Thanks for being a constant inspiration to all of 2791, and best of luck at CT! Hopefully we'll have a better qual match together.
