[OCCRA]: Ball size

QUESTION: A team has asked for the size of the ball this year.

Official Answer: To get the “right” bounce: they are inflated to a circumference of 30.5” (9.7 “ diameter.), The disclaimer is “plus or minus one inch” for the circumference.

Hint: Remember ball sizes will vary at the events based upon many factors: Temperature is a huge variable as they are stored in an unheated trailer and will warm up at the event, Hmmmmmm what happens to air as it warms up?

Second Hint: Design around variable factors.
