Memory Space on Classmate

Anyone else notice that when you re-image the classmate there is very little space left over?

My team didn't reformat our 2010 classmate yet, we're probably going to do it Monday, but I am guessing the Windows 7 OS eats a more hefty chunk than what is it 6? year old XP, maybe some new programs in the image eats some SSD space also.

Re: Memory Space on Classmate

It's actually not the Windows 7 installation itself. The problem is the recovery partition. It takes up a large amount of space which presents a problem on such a small capacity SSD. You can reinstall with a customized installation script discussed in this thread. Another option is to use third party partitioning software and manually delete the partition. Make sure to back up any data before trying any alternative.
