Re: <R45> maximum amount of motors
I'm going to be perfectly blunt and say I don't believe you have read that rule in its entirety.
R45 C and D answer the question. C. one or two additional 2½” CIM motors (part #FR801-001 and/or M4-R0062-12) in addition to those provided in the KOP. This means that up to four, and no more, 2½” CIM motors can be used on the ROBOT. D. up to four, in any combination, of the BaneBots motors provided in the KOP (RS-775, RS-550, RS-540, RS-395), I read, and believe the GDC mean, up to 4 cims, and up to 4 BameBots. |

Re: <R45> maximum amount of motors
So are the F-P Motors in the BaneBot Category of Motors? Or how many of them can we have?

Re: <R45> maximum amount of motors
No, an FP is an FP. You can use the one that came in the KOP.

Re: <R45> maximum amount of motors
So one and only one FP can be used?

Re: <R45> maximum amount of motors
On a more comical note, something tells me we're going to see a 8-motor drive train this year that has 4 CIMs and 4 BB-550s.
Imagine the pamphlet for such a drive train... Blazing around the field with 2200 watts of powa! Able to suck a FRC battery dry in 0.66 seconds! 20 ft/s! |

Re: <R45> maximum amount of motors
In terms of raw power, why would you choose a 550 over a 775 ?
In terms of durability, is the 775 better than a 550 ? Peak efficiency data only is listed below, measurements at 12 VDC. RS-775 - 119W, 11360 RPM, 12.5 A, 14.2 oz-in RS-550 - 99W, 17100 RPM, 10,91 A, 7.9 oz-in RS-540 - 49W, 14840 RPM, 5.85 A, 4.5 oz-in RS-395 - 25W, 13110 RMP, 2.74 A, 2.6 oz-in |
