Arms Vs. Elevators
Our team is in the middle of a heated discussion of whether to use an arm style scoring device or to use an elevator style device. Any helpful hints as to what to use are greatly appreciated.

Re: Arms Vs. Elevators
team 1939 has decided to use a forklift because of the room constraints in the scoring/safe zone there wouldn't be much room for an arm in that area the forklift would move up and down this compensates for the room constraints if using mechanum wheels so we can strafe in the safe zone to line up the forklift

Re: Arms Vs. Elevators
We narrowed it down to a lift vs an arm. The mechanism team was tasked to figure out how to build both. We know how to build an arm, we did it for 2007. We could not figure out how to build a lift that would reach, be light, using easily available materials, etc. I guess that decision wasn't too hard to make after all.
