LEDs on the Digital Side Car

The LEDS on Relays 1-5 on the digital side car are all glowing even though nothing is connected to them. We are going to be replacing the board, but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this problem before and could provide a quick fix as to what is broken within the sidecar.

Thanks!

Re: LEDs on the Digital Side Car

Those LEDs are controlled by software, not by what is or isn't connected to them.
Is it possible you have Relay code in that sets your Relays to ON?

If you flip the NO-APP DIP switch on the cRIO and reset it or cycle the power do the LEDs remain on?
That will prevent any software application from running as a test.
If the LEDs remain lit, then that'll confirm it as a hardware issue.
Make sure to turn the NO-APP switch back off after the test.

You can make sure your 37-pin cable is firmly seated and no pins are damaged.
You can also check that your Digital Module is firmly seated and no pins there are damaged either.

Re: LEDs on the Digital Side Car

Is 12 volt power connected properly to the Digital Sidecar? All sorts of weird behavior happens when power is missing or reversed.
