Window Motor Modification

Does anyone know if it is legal to modify the window motor gear box?

<R47> Motors and servos used on the ROBOT shall not be modified in any way, except as follows:
A. The mounting brackets and/or output shaft/interface of the motors may be modified to
facilitate the physical connection of the motor to the ROBOT and actuated part. B. The electrical input leads on the motors may be trimmed to length as necessary.
C. The locking pins on the window motors may be removed.
D. TheconnectorhousingsontheWindowmotors(PN262100-3030and262100-3040)may be modified to facilitate lead connections.

I believe the gear boxes on the window motors are considered integral to the motors and cannot be modified except as specified above. But I am not the GDC, so take that with a grain of salt and ask the only people who can help you... the official Q&A.
