Panel Signal Light?

We're close to the deadline to ship out our bot and we were about to attach the panel signal light (one of the last things we needed to do). We found it in our kit but we aren't sure how to connect it. There is no additional connector as shown in the diagrams that would allow us to wire it. Did it come with it in the box? Or was it shipped separately? Also, if we really didn't receive one, could we order/get a new one and just attach it once we got to the competition?

Thanks,
Rookie Team 3880

Re: Panel Signal Light?

Are you talking about the connector that attaches to the actual light or the wire that connects it to the sidecar?

The connector that attaches to the light. Right now there is no way for us to attach a wire to the light.

Re: Panel Signal Light?

We can plug our light in to the sidecar plugged in to slot 4 of the cRIO, but it won't work on the sidecar plugged in to slot 6. Anyone know why this happens?

Yes. This happens because it has to be connected to Slot 4 per the rules and the system is set up for it to be on slot 4.

Code. The code looks for it in Slot 4, and slot 4 only. That's also the only legal place to connect it, per <R54-B>.
