reducing dashboard lag

Our team is having some trouble with the dashboard, it seems like changes take a long time to show up on the dashboard, making the information rather useless.

We have gotten the camera to bypass the crio and go directly to the classmate, and we've started transferring critical information to dashboard user messages.
Both the camera and the user messages appear to work instantly. I don't understand why the other information on the dashboard has such a huge lag.

Anyone know a solution to this?

thanks

Re: reducing dashboard lag

Are you talking about the diagnostic information on the default dashboard? If so, it's slow because the Build Dashboard Data vi in the robot project is intentionally designed to update that information very slowly. It's reading a lot of stuff from the cRIO modules, and doing it much faster could interfere with the "real work" that the program has to do.
