PowerCord 869's 2011 Robot

I am proud to present PowerCord 869's 2011 robot, MAC. The wise avenue of keeping it simple was kept in high regard this year. The final strategy was to make a robot that was a relatively strong defender which had the ability to fill the bottom row and deploy a mini-bot. These photos were taken just prior to bagging the robot. Please keep in mind that the padding on the claw was in a prototype stage and will be replaced at our first regional with something a bit more aesthetically pleasing. Also, the mini-bot deployment system is being withheld for fine tuning. Let us know what you guys think!

***On a side note, I would personally like to once again thank team 303 for their gracious assistance in our time of need. (For those who don't know) This past Sunday, our team had attended a scrimmage, only to be plagued by system failures on several parts of our robot. This wouldn't seem so so bad only if we weren't locked out of our shop until today due to lack of school on Sundays and President's Day. Upon hearing of our dilemma, team 303 opened the doors to their facility, temporarily giving us a place to work as well as tools to work with. As a result, we are fully operational and are now ready for competition. Team 303 is a shining example of what embodies a great first team, and I can guarantee that all of team 869 will be cheering for them in Trenton!
