Minibot Regulations?

Hey.

Our team has been invited to an off-season event and has decided to make a minibot for this event. Is any metal material (80/20, specifically) allowed on the minibot? Or can our team only use Tetrix metal? Thanks to you, my friends!

Re: Minibot Regulations?

You may wish to start by reading <R92>, all of it. You'll find that while certain types of aluminum are allowed, others are not. I'm reasonably certain that 80/20 falls into the "not" category, but not totally certain. (Something about it not exactly being "raw" aluminum, closer to pre-punched...YMMV)

Your best bet is to contact your off season event coordinator.

I know for the local events here, they keep all the rules similar to what FIRST did this year with maybe one or two rule changes.
